Digital Skills Support

Why are Digital Skills important?

Digital skills deliver growth and jobs; and training your team can increase revenue, help build stronger customer relationships, give you a competitive edge, and provide new strategies and approaches to working.

The following digital skills resources are all available online and you can access a wide range of information, courses, and webinars for free.

The Skills Toolkit

The Skills Toolkit is a directory of free online courses to help you learn new skills or change jobs.

Free courses are available through the online platform hosted on the gov.uk website. The platform gives you access to free digital and numeracy courses to help build up your skills, progress in work and boost your job prospects.

Google Digital Garage

The Digital Garage is a non-profit nationwide programme from Google delivering free digital skills training via an online learning platform. This platform provides tailored training plans to learn digital skills.

Most courses are free, and are approved by industry experts, top entrepreneurs and some of the world’s leading employers.

Make it Click

Make It Click is being delivered by social change charity Good Things Foundation, and is supported by the Federation of Small Businesses. It is a collection of online learning resources to help you build your digital skills including courses, tools and templates carefully picked from established websites with a track record of providing reliable digital skills content.

There are different subjects to choose from and lots of ways to learn, from video courses and screencasts to written guides. You’ll also find online tools and templates that you can use at home or in work.
