InSync Technology, based in Petersfield, specialises in development of highly efficient signal processing hardware and software products, focusing on motion compensated frame rate and format conversion.

InSync has seen continuous growth in sales and manufacturing output since being formed in 2003. Having begun by only providing broadcast engineering support services, activities now extend to complete product design. InSync has seen a large and sustained increase in business in recent years – so much that it moved to larger premises for the second time in 2013

InSync Technology has been an employee-owned business since October 2013. Like many other successful employee-owned businesses, staff and management are actively participating in investment in the long term shared success of the company. Managing Director Paola Hobson says, “We think employee ownership is important for our staff because it gives them a stake in the company and it’s not just about share ownership, it’s also about contributing to the strategy and future development of the company”.

On working in East Hampshire, Paola says “as we’ve grown, we’ve realised Petersfield is a great location for our company to be. We have a good pool of talent we can recruit here because of the universities of Guildford, Portsmouth & Southampton and quite a lot of technical people living in the Hampshire area. The local environment is very pleasant, it’s a really nice place for our staff to work.”.

InSync is very active in the community and continues to support many local causes connected to broadcasting and digital skills. These include providing IT equipment and other resources for multiple schools in the district and sponsoring local sports teams and events. Insync has supported Petersfield Infant School’s outdoor project, Petersfield Youth Theatre and the refurbishment of the Petersfield Open Air Pool and more recently sponsored Petersfield Hometown Festivals and Petersfield Community Radio.
